Charles R. Smith, Jr.



Charles (Charlie)  is the President of CRS Benefit Consultants, since May 1997. He is currently responsible for overseeing insurance operations including contracting, sales, client retention and insurance carrier relations.  He has been a licensed insurance agent since 1990 and is licensed in multiple states. He serves as an agent advisor for several insurance carriers. He is a member of the W.P.B. Rotary Club, member of the National Ethics Association, member of the Business Advisory Council, Council Member of the Gerson Lehrman Group and a past member of the Life & Health Underwriters Association. He is currently responsible for overseeing insurance operations including contracting, sales, client retention and insurance carrier relations. He has over 30 years of experience as an expert in healthcare sales, consultation and broker services. 
Charles was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and after working many years for Humana in Kentucky was promoted to a position in South Florida. A few years later he decided that he wanted to better serve clients and use his expertise and understanding to start his own benefit consulting company.
